He has been elected sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Kirari (D) an impressive four times, most recently in 2025, where he secured 382 votes, a testament to his enduring popularity within the community. His first term spanned from 1984 to 1995, followed by terms from 2000 to 2005 and again from 2015 to 2020. After serving as the deputy sarpanch from 2020 to 2025, his commitment to the welfare of the community remains steadfast. Shanta Devi, his wife, supported him actively during her tenure as a district member from 2010 to 2015, highlighting their joint efforts towards uplifting their community. Through various initiatives, Santosh Agarwal has significantly contributed to the development and betterment of the lives of those around him.
