Situated approximately 5 km from the sub-district headquarters of Dabhra and about 32 km from the district headquarters of Sakti, it serves as the gram panchayat for the area. The village covers a geographical area of 344.9 hectares and is home to a total population of 1,852 people, comprising 920 males and 932 females. The literacy rate in Katekoni Chhote stands at 59.99%, with a significant difference between genders, as 70.54% of males and only 49.57% of females are literate. This demographic and educational profile highlights both the vibrancy and the challenges faced by the community.

कटेकोनी बाजार पांच गांवों के बीच लगता है। हर मंगलवार को कटेकोनी छोटे में साप्ताहिक बाजार लगता है, यहां आसपास के गांवों के लोग खरीद्दारी करने के लिए आते हैं। इस बाजार में हरी सब्जियों, राशन, चिकन और मछली के अलावा कपड़े, जूते और अन्य घरेलू सामान भी बिकते हैं। अलग-अलग गांवों से विक्रेता अपना सामान यहां बेचने के लिए लाते हैं, जिससे बाजार में खरीद्दारों की बहुत भीड़ हो जाती है। लोग यहां सिर्फ खरीदारी करने ही नहीं, बल्कि एक-दूसरे से मिलने, बातचीत करने और समय बिताने भी आते हैं। यह बाजार सिर्फ सामानों के आदान-प्रदान की जगह ही नहीं है, बल्कि सामाजिक मेलजोल का भी एक महत्वपूर्ण केंद्र है, जो समुदाय को जोड़ने का काम करता है।
